I felt a little let down, but my journey thus far has been a constant reminder, that there is always a bigger threat ahead. I boarded my mechanostrider and moved southward toward Blackrock mountain. I soon found myself in front of a massive door. This door lead to an astounding structure in the center of a large refinery. Blackrock Depths would indeed be a challenge.
As I left the other side of the mountain, I was met with more of the same. The sky was bright red, filled with a mixture of black plumes and ash raining down from the heavens. While the area was similar, I felt something was a bit more sinister and unforgiving about this place.
Maybe it was all the relics left here. I thought about the story that was told to me back in Ironforge about Ragnaros, and the dark Sorcerer Thaurissan. Suddenly the story was much more real to me. To my right, I saw the remains of the great battle. This area was a unsettling reminder that these lands will never truly be safe from the forces of evil.

Deep in thought, I didn’t see the terror that was lumbering towards me. I was knocked clear off my mount by a red-hot mass of lava. Somehow this smoldering heap was alive, and wanted me dead. I drew my weapons but immediately realized I was no match for the great elemental. All my swings and gashes went straight through the mass, only spraying lava on the ground.
I decided to put my pride aside, and tried to outrun the monster. Then I saw something flying straight towards me. I ducked as a enormous Black Drake flew towards the elemental. With the behemoth distracted, I jumped on my mechanostrider and made my way straight towards a fenced off area off the road.
I finally made it to my destination. Morgans Vigil, just off a road leading to the Redridge Mountains was a small camp not so different from Thorium Point. I told them about my journey and intent, and was informed that I’d have to prove myself before being considered ready to enter the Blackrock Depths.
