As I admired the plumes of black smoke pouring from the burnining remains of the guard towers, my gaze drifted to the pit of The Cauldron. I may have been successful in disabling the outer structures, but what horrors are brewing inside? The prospect of an army of these horrible Dark Iron Dwarves invading my nearby homeland of Coldridge Valley forced me to press on. I headed toward a long, downward path which lead into to the pit below.
The area was built around a churning lake of magma. All around me, countless slaves mindlessly bore into the cavern wall, creating a sprawling, tangled web of tunnels. What was their purpose here? What exactly were they planning to do in such a hurry? I had no time to find out. A task master saw me at the entrance and instructed all the slaves around to attack. They swarmed me with their picks held high in the air. I easily defeated the pathetic, weak minions and bashed the Taskmaster with all my strength. A key fell from his hand as he fell dead to the ground.
In front of me, I saw a large, metal gate. I curiously opened the gate with the key and walked in. I was in the middle of an enormous, manmade cavern. There were hundreds of slaves working tirelessly as taskmasters patrolled the area. I ran straight toward a ramp at the back of the area, defeating a few Dwarves before making it to the base.

Before my excursion I was told that there was a Dwarf deep in The Slag Pit who was responsible for this effort. If I defeated him, I would help bring construction to an end. The ramp was heavily guarded. This had to be close to my target. After a series of short skirmishes, I saw him. Overseer Maltorius and his assistant were going over a series of schematics. In their concentration, they didn’t see me approach.
I was certain that these were the Dwaves in question, but decided to take them by surprise. I yelled “Maltorious!” as I charged toward the two Dwarves. In an instant they both took action. Maltorious furiously swung and gashed at me as his assistant conjured healing spells. I decided to take down the healer before focusing my attacks at the great Overseer. Without the aid of his assistant, Maltorious was an easy kill.
I returned to Thorium Point with news of my success. They were appreciative, yet that excitement was short lived. Off in the distance loomed the ultimate peak of my conquest. I would need to work through Blackrock Depths if I really wanted to end this threat, but first, I was told to help out another encampment on the other side of Blackrock Mountain.
