After heading to Stormwind to upgrade my armor, I returned to Sentinel Hill. I then approached Sentinel Tower to try and get some more information about the ruffians which the local farmers were talking about. There were a few soldiers standing outside. One of which, Gryan Stoutmantle called me over. He told me that the Defias Brotherhood was responsible for all this destruction. The People’s Militia was formed to combat these villians. I was eager to help.
Now I knew these were more than just hooligans. As I walked north toward Jangolode Mine, I was taken by surprise by two Defias Soldiers. Taking out my new shield I defended myslef from their sporadic jabs and punches. 
One of them even threw a net at me and ran off. Using my small size to my advantage, I escaped this trap and defeated my foes.
Gryan was pleased when I returned to Sentinel Tower. Now that I defeated these enemies, it was on to even tougher foes. I ran to the abandoned Alexton Farmstead. There I found Defias Looters and Pilliagers. As Gryan warned, these soldiers were much more aggressive. I took a different strategy. This time I decided to take on one at a time, waiting for some to stray from the group.
Gryan had one last group of Defias for me to infiltrate. Up in the Dagger Hills, in Southern Westfall. These would be the toughest group in Westfall. When I was in Stormwind, I created a few sharpening stones to briefly enhance my weapons. Now would be a good time to use them. With my sword sharper than ever I set off to Dagger Hills.
These were the most aggressive Defias by far. With two knives glinting in the setting sun, the Defias Knuckledusters attacked. It was a long battle but at last I fought the last of my opponents and returned to Sentenel Hill.
Gaining his trust, Gryan had me fly to Lakeshire at the Redridge Mountains to find out more about the Defias Brotherhood. There, I spoke with a rogue on the top floor of the Lakeshire Inn. I found out that the Defias gang were working in conjuction with varios vile creatures such as gnolls and kobolds. After returning to Gryan, I was soon off again to a man named Mathias Shaw to gather more information.
Upon returning I finally understood the story. The Defias Brotherhood were originally part of the Stonemasons’ Guild which was responsible for the rebuilding of Stormwind many years ago. Unhappy with their treatment the guild rebelled, lead by Edwin VanCleef.
I then was given the task to discover the secret location of the Defias hideout. I was to track down a Defias Messenger and bring back what he was carrying, dead or alive. I walked up and down the coast with no luck, then suddenly as I ran towards Moonbrook, I saw a Defias member with something in his hand. I approached him and asked sternly for the note he was carrying, in the name of the People’s Militia.
As soon as he heard about the People’s Milita, he took a knife from behind his back and stabbed at me. Wounding him with my sword, he quickly realized he was outmatched. The messenger ran cowardly towards Moonbrook but I caught him before he made it. I walked back to Sentinel Tower, Note in hand.
When I returned, Gyran confirmed that VanCleef was indeed in charge. He then informed me that they had captured a Defias thug trying to steal a wagon from the Saldean Family. In exchange for his life, the thug was forced take me to the location of the Defias Hideout.
Walking toward moonbrook, I remembered the Saldean family. The Defias had already taken so much from them, now they wanted to take what little they had left. It was hard to stay composed as we entered Moonbrook. Defias brutes came running out of every building attacking me and my guide. At once we both began to defend ourselves, each taking on a slew of enemies.
As our assailants backed off, my guide pointed sheepishly at a large Silo with a low mumble. I knew then that this was where their hideout was located. I realized that this would be my final task. I was to take down the Defias Brotherhood by starting with their leader, Edwin VanCleef.
