Attacking at the Heart

Just as I turned around to leave, Stoutfist called me back. He explained that the Orcs were once much more powerful. The Dragonmaw Orc clan controlled large, Red dragons, but at the end of the Second War, these pets revolted against their masters, hunting them down one by one. The Orcs fled to the mountains to the east. If I was to take down this menace once and for all, I would need to fight my way through the Angerfang Encampment, destroying everything in my wake, and beheading their leader, Nek’Rosh.

Captain Stoutfist gave me some Dwarven Tinder, and wished me luck. I set off towards the east, eventually made it to a small opening in the hills. This was surely the place. I was greeted by a swarm of green Orcs. One of them tossed a rope trap at me. I used my small size to escape this trap easily.

I found myself outnumbered fairly quickly. So I chose to take down the Orcs as stealthily as I could. From the top of a hill, I saw the catapult Captain Stoutfist was talking about. It was going to be easy to destroy. Getting there, however was the challenge. The only choice I had was brute force.

Nek'Rosh Catepult

I ran down the hill, getting the attention of a whole group of Orcs. I put up a great fight, taking down each of my foes. As I fought I inched toward the catapult. When it was just out of reach, I set off the Dwarven Tinder and hurled it toward the weapon. It ignited in an instant.

As the Orcs attempted to put out the fire, I ran towards the camp where Nek’Rosh sat. He stood up in an instant and came running. Along with him an Orc Mage sent it’s reanimated skeleton after me. Undeterred, I kept my focus on Nek’Rosh. I swong my Mace as hard as I could directly at his head, knocking him out cold. Then using his own weapon, beheaded the leader of the Orc clan.

Stoutfist stood up out of his seat as I returned with the head of Nek’Rosh. He was relieved, but the old warrior reminded me that this was only a small step in a much bigger struggle.
